Transition Checklist

Transition Checklist

To Complete

  • Pass IELTS Academic test with overall grade 6.5 (no less than 6 in each any component)
  • Pass all Year 1 and 2 CPU and UoM units – no later than end of June (or end of CPU exam period whichever comes later)
  • Complete the Right to Study check and Criminal Declaration Form: you will be notified by the Admission Team via emails. You will need to complete these checklists before your CAS letter will be produced. Please ensure you complete this step as soon as you receive the emails to do so to avoid further delays on your CAS letter.
  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is produced by the Faulty of Biology, Medicine and Health Admission team (no earlier than 3 months before your course start date). You should receive your CAS letter from the admission team by end of July the latest, considering there is no delays on the steps above. CAS letter is one of the essential document you need to apply your UK Student VISA. It is available to print off from Self-Service once it has been uploaded.
  • Apply for your UK Tier 4 student VISA (please read the VISA requirements carefully as UoM is not responsible for your student VISA; include TB Test for UK VISA)
Please note there isn’t any expiring date mentioned but students must obtain the TB test proof from the approved clinics listed on the UK Government Website.
  • Apply a place for your student accommodation before 31/08/2024. The online applications opens each year from December / January. We advise you to apply this as soon as possible.

VISA support – please read through the guidance carefully. UoM does not responsible for your student VISA.
